Cuvée usually refers to the first-pressed or best Champagne. But outside of Champagne, Cuvée refers more humbly and more broadly to a wine blend. And in the case of Pieroth's 2018 Cuvee Ferdinand; Chardonnay, Scheurebe and Weißburgunder (otherwise known as Pinot Blanc) have been delicately blended to create a wine that is both elegant and fruity. This easy to drink white wine, created at the centuries-old Pieroth Estate in scenic Nahe in western Germany, offers exotic aromas of blackcurrant and apricot and a palatable mix of subtle sweetness and vibrant acidity.
