Corsica is located 90km west of Italy, 170km southeast of France and just 11km north of the island of Sardinia, so whilst the island is a territory of France, its winemaking traditions and its grape varieties are Italian in origin. Known as the Island of Beauty, Corsica’s hot climate and cooling sea breezes enable the grapes to ripen to perfection in vineyards situated on the hills some 300 metres above sea level.
